Stud Muffin by JiffyKate (Book Review)

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5 Stars)

“Whatever happened here today… you’re more than that…more than however you feel… and whoever made you feel that way.”

It’s really hard for me to write a review for Stud Muffin because in many ways this book is perfect. I read a lot of contemporary romance books and even though I have quite a few favorites I’m always thinking about how the story could be even better. There’s always something that could have been resolved in a better way, a character that could have developed more, a conflict that should have happened differently. Not with Stud Muffin. Jiffy Kate really knocked it out of the park with this one.

Tempest is a beautiful heroine. She’s human through and through. She’s flawed and intense and a badass and she’s suffering, oh so much, but she doesn’t want it to diminish who she is. She just needs to find herself, her true self. She doesn’t want her suffering to extinguish the fire she has inside of her. Her journey is so touching and delicate, it’s really a work of art.

Cage Erickson is the new love of your life. He’s described exactly like Charlie Hunnam, blond hair and rugged beard, gorgeous smiles, chiseled face and arms and abs for days. Yes, please. But, what is more, memorable about Cage is that he is just the best. There’s a quote from The Hating Game that describes Cage perfectly “Brute, raw masculinity contrasted with gentleness is the most attractive thing on earth.”

Everything else is perfect. Conflict and conflict resolution, character development, amazing supporting cast, ambiance, really, everything. I love it.
