I’ve been obsessed with podcasts lately. Walking to work, or doing some laundry, they are the perfect distraction and there’s some really good material being produced out there. The thing specifically about Romance Podcasts? They are HILARIOUS. Endearing, sweet and informative? Sur. But I’m telling you, most of the time they are laugh-out-loud funny, and here are some of my favorite ones:
The Heaving Bosoms Podcast
Heaving Bosoms is a weekly podcast where farflung best friends – Erin in Alaska and Melody in New Jersey – gush, giggle, snark, and snort their way through a different romance novel each week! The podcast is constantly taking recommendations from all corners of the genre, which means that each week is a deep breakdown of your favorite, and occasionally not so favorite, romance novels. The show started as and excuse for Erin and Mel to call each other more, and has turned into this beautiful community of Romancelandia badasses who are passionate about reading, friendship, open-hearted feminism, and self-love! We are proud to be completely self-produced and homemade from scratch, just like the best cookies. You can find Heaving Bosoms on iTunes, Stitcher, or wherever you get your podcasts! Just don’t listen around the kids because, like your favorite books, Erin and Mel can get a little explicit!
My honest opinion: Do you want to live a happy life? Do you like laughing like a crazy person and exercising all your facial muscles trying not to spit your tea while listening to things? Well, this podcast is for you! Erin and Mel are so funny and so smart IT HURTS YOU GUYS. Just do yourself a favour and go listen to these lovely ladies.

Smart Women Read Romance:
Niece and aunt duo, Jessen Judice and (author) Juliette Cross, bond over their shared love of romance novels, and want to include fellow romance enthusiasts in on the conversation. We started this podcast as a big middle finger to the stigma associated with reading and loving romance novels. We love to fangirl about our favorite books, authors, and characters and are challenging people to think of romance novels as more than just “mommy porn” – though there’s nothing wrong with a copious amount of sexy times. Bring that *ish on!
This one goes out to all the fangirls! Life’s better with a little HEA.
My honest opinion: I love their breakdown and choice of showdown scenes, also the episodes about book boyfriends are amazing. This is everything I want from a book podcast, thorough, light and sweet.

The Wicked Wallflowers Club
As featured on Entertainment Weekly’s “Must List”, “this podcast about romance fiction takes the guilt out of “guilty pleasure” with author interviews and deep dives into new releases. It’s a compelling reminder of why the oft-dismissed genre is a real force in cultural conversations about consent and desire.”
We release new episodes on Wednesdays with guests who range from the biggest bestselling authors to publicists, reviewers, readers, and other industry professionals.
My honest opinion: Smart, witty, necessary. This podcast always offers very interesting discussions in the romance genre. Also, this podcast has amazing guests every week.

Fated Mates is a romance novel podcast co-hosted by author Sarah MacLean and romance critic Jen Prokop. Weekly episodes include romance novel read-alongs and discussions of the work of the genre, highlighting the romance novel as a powerful tool in fighting patriarchy…with absolutely no kink shaming.
My honest opinion: ”highlighting the romance novel as a powerful tool in fighting patriarchy” Do I even need to say anything else after this? Go listen to these ladies!
