Mason is a single dad looking for a break. He almost made it big in the music industry until one tragedy took it all away. Now, he just wants to give his daughter Brooklyn a good life, and perhaps to still make something of himself.
Liberty is extremely talented, but when her boyfriend leaves not only her but the band they were in together she gets pretty lost. Not only she needs a new band member asap, but she has to come to terms with what the break up meant to her and how her talent fits in all of this.
Of course, destiny brings these two together. For Mason is the chance of a lifetime, and for Liberty, it’s her big opportunity to break free and truly be the person she was always meant to be.
I think Rising West was beautifully written and truly entertaining. I loved most of the characters. Unfortunately, where it fell flat for me was in the romance part… as a romance book I was never truly convinced on the connection between Mason and Liberty, and couldn’t connect with them as a couple.
Thank you, Alyson Santos and Wildfire Marketing Solutions for sending me an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
